Before & Afters
Have Questions?
We've compiled answers to the most common questions to help you make informed decisions about your beauty journey.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
We recommend a series of at least 3 treatments. We typically recommend spacing them 4 weeks apart. It takes 28 days to make new collagen. Your skin will continue to improve for 3 months post treatment. Treatments can be as close as 1 month apart and the results will build upon each other.
Does Morpheus8 Body Hurt?
We want you to comfortable throughout the treatment. We use a medical grade topical numbing cream and offer Pro-Nox (laughing gas) to assist with any anxiety. See Pro-Nox page for all the details.
Who Is An Ideal Candidate?
During your consultation appointment we will determine if you're a good candidate for the procedure.
Morpheus8 Body is not recommended for individuals who:
Have pacemakers or metal inside their body.
Are pregnant or nursing.
Have active cold sores, psoriasis, eczema, rashes, or freshly tanned skin.
Have medical conditions that impair skin healing.
Have had surgical, ablative procedures or dermal fillers in the previous 3 months or neurotoxins in the previous 2 weeks.
Have used Accutane in the previous year.
How Much Does Morpheus8 Body Cost?
Morpheus8 requires a consultation appointment to determine treatment plan and pricing.
Consultations at Beyond Esthetics are complimentary.
What Is The Downtime?
After your Morpheus8 Body treatment you can expect around 3 days of redness, swelling and possible bruising. Directly after, your skin may feel sunburned and tight, but that feeling is temporary. See Post Treatment under the Resources tab for aftercare instructions.
How Soon Will I See Results?
Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically after three to four weeks the most noticeable results appear. Improvements will continue up to three months after treatment as your collagen growth is boosted.
What Skin Types Can Be Treated?
Morpheus8 effectively remodels skin and tissue with minimal risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Patients should expect little to no thermal damage to skin types I – VI.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Morpheus8 Body can treat the abdomen, upper arms, bra roll, breasts, thighs, buttocks, above the knees, flanks, stretch marks and anywhere post liposuction. Excellent option for fading color of acne scars, stretch marks and surgical scars.

Pre-Care Instructions
How To Prepare
Pre-Treatment Preparations
- Avoid sun exposure (apply sunscreen daily and do not tan at all including self-tanner) for 2 to 4 weeks before and after treatments.
- Do not use any skin irritants or retinol products (or products containing tretinoin) or exfoliants on the area to be treated for one week.
- Avoid Accutane (or isotretinoin products) for 6 months prior. Let your doctor know if you have a history of hyperpigmentation.
- If you have a history of fever blisters/cold sores, notify your provider. (We can write you a prescription for a prophylactic antiviral therapy to start prior to the treatment to prevent a flare up of cold sores.)
- If you bruise easily, you may want to take supplemental over-the-counter Arnica or eat pineapple to reduce the incidence of bruising/bleeding.
On the day of your appointment:
- Come to your appointment with a clean face- remove all makeup if the area to be treated is the face. If applicable, dress so that you may modestly expose the treatment area.
Post-Care Instructions
Aftercare
- Immediately after treatment, most patients will experience erythema (redness) for 1-3 days, however for more aggressive treatments this may last longer. Slight to moderate edema (swelling) and a mild to moderate sunburn sensation are also common post treatment and may last 1-3 days. Skin may crust and peel for 2-7 days depending on treatment settings.
- Before discharge a topical ointment may be applied to the face, no bandages or wraps are necessary.
- There are no restrictions on bathing except to treat the skin gently, avoid scrubbing or trauma to the treated area.
- Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation and use of zinc oxide sun block SPF 30+ is recommended.
- Makeup may be worn once the skin is no longer open (typically 48-72 hours after treatment).
- Keep the area moisturized and covered with Aquaphor or Instant Balm. If you experience discomfort or itching, you may take Tylenol or Benadryl in the evening.
- Multiple treatments over a period of several months may be required to achieve the desired response.
