Service Details

Pro-Nox is a natural blend of 50% oxygen and 50% nitrous analgesia, self-administered by the patient through a safe, valve inhalation system that only delivers the medical gases when the patient breathes in. The 50/50 mix has been safely and effectively used around the world in labor and delivery for decades.

During a procedure, the patient holds on to the disposable mouthpiece and hose as he/she breathes the nitrous oxide. The patient is in control of how much or how little of the nitrous oxide is needed during the procedure. Since each patient is different and is the best judge of comfort as well as discomfort, the control is put into the hands of the patient.

Effects wear off in 5-10 minutes. There is no trace of the chemical in the body. The short-lasting effects of Pro-Nox allow the patient to reap the benefits of an analgesic, while still being able to drive before and after an procedure.

Have Questions?

We've compiled answers to the most common questions to help you make informed decisions about your beauty journey.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments that a person receives will vary. People may need repeat treatments to see results from Microneedling with PRP. We recommend a series of at least 3 treatments. Larger scars may take longer to respond to this treatment.

Does PRP Microneedling Hurt?

We want all our beauties to enjoy their treatments. We will use medical grade topical numbing cream for this treatment. We also offer Pro-Nox to assist with any anxiety you may have. See Pro-Nox page for all the details.

Who Is An Ideal Candidate?

Microneedling with PRP may not be suitable during pregnancy or for people with certain conditions or other risk factors, including those who have:

  • used or are using isotretinoin to treat acne
  • active acne
  • skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea
  • a history of scarring or bruising easily
  • a platelet or blood disorder
  • had major surgery within the last 6 months
  • HIV
  • a chronic illness
  • an infection on the face, such as herpes

If any of these apply to you, let our NP know before treatment.

How Much Does PRP Microneedling Cost?

PRP Microneedling requires a consultation appointment to determine treatment plan and pricing.

Consultations at Beyond Esthetics are complimentary.

What Is The Downtime?

Recovery from microneedling is usually quick. People may experience some soreness and tenderness immediately after the treatment. The area may also have redness, and there may be some mild bruising, which usually clears within 3 days. See Post Treatment under the Resources tab for aftercare instructions.

How Soon Will I See Results?

Microneedling with PRP can also take a few weeks to show results, as the body takes time to produce collagen. As a result, people might see results in the first week but can expect to keep seeing improvements in their skin in the weeks following their treatment.

What Areas Can Be Treated?

Microneedling (with or without PRP) can improve a variety of skin conditions, including:

  • Acne scars
  • Age spots
  • Wrinkling
  • Sun damage
  • Scarring caused by surgery or stretch marks
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Skin's tone and texture

If you have severe or large areas to be treated, we might recommend Opus Plasma or Morpheus8 Body.

Beyond Estetics has been a life changer for me.  All women need a place to go where they can feel at home and never judged. And this is the place, the staff is exceptional.  I began going about a year ago for dermaplane cryo-facials. I was then introduced to Microneedling with PRP.  They can actually pull all the good stuff from your own body and put it back into your face for amazing results. The first treatment I noticed a tightening in my face smoothing all over and a lot of fine lines and wrinkles just seem to disappear and it just got better as time went on. The second treatment I even noticed even more some of the deeper lines were fading In my skin felt plump and just overall amazing.  Can't wait for my third treatment.  It is definitely an option for someone who doesn't want to go to extreme but just wants to look and feel good about themselves.

  • An impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases, HIV, HTV, or immunosuppressive medications
  • Skin conditions and diseases including: Facial cancer, existing or uncured. This includes SCC, BCC and melanoma, systemic cancer, and chemotherapy.
  • Steroid therapy, dermatological diseases affecting the face (i.e. Porphyria), communicable diseases, blood disorders and platelet abnormalities, anticoagulation therapy (i.e. Warfarin)
  • A history of medication over the past 2 months that could affect the skin, i.e., Accutane, Retinol
  • Pacemakers, a history of a severe heart disorder, arrhythmias
  • Pregnant or lactating
  • Blood thinning medications or blood clotting disorders
  • Any active skin disease or disorder around the treatment site; acne, eczema, psoriasis
  • A history of keloids or abnormal wound healing
  • Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within 3 months

7 DAYS BEFORE Treatment:

  • Avoid chemical peels, waxing, electrolysis, Laser treatments, or threading.
  • Discontinue blood thinning agents such as vitamin E, vitamin A, Ginko, Garlic, Flax, Cod Liver Oil, and Essential Fatty Acids, and multivitamins, a minimum of 7 days (preferably 14 days) prior to treatment.
  • If you are taking any blood thinners, please let your provider know immediately, as they may represent a contraindication to this treatment. These medications include Plavix, Coumadin and Heparin.
  • Avoid aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Voltaren and other anti-inflammatory medications. We want inflammation to occur – as this is one mechanism by which PRP works.
  • Avoid excessive sun or heat exposure.

3 DAYS BEFORE Treatment:

  • Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Salicylic Acid, or other “anti-aging”, “acne”, and “bleaching” products. Also AVOID waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal cream on the area to be treated.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily of SPF 30 or higher.

Day of Treatment

  • Please arrive to the office with a “clean face”. Do not wear makeup. No lotions, makeup or other topical products should be applied on the day of the procedure.
  • Make sure you eat and have plenty to drink the day of your treatment if you are having your blood drawn for PRP.
  • If the area to be treated requires shaving due to hair involvement, please shave the area the evening prior to your visit, to avoid any trauma or rash from shaving.
  • A topical anesthetic cream will be applied for about 45 minutes prior to your procedure.
  • You may expect a certain degree of discomfort, redness, and/or irritation during and after treatment.

Post-Care Instructions

Aftercare

    • Leave the PRP on your face for 6 hours (it may feel like dry egg whites on your skin), then you may wash with warm water and put your mask on for at least half an hour or longer, and then rub mask product into skin and leave on overnight.
    • Use serum twice daily until finished.
    • You may have a bruise at the blood draw site.
    • You will look as though you have a moderate to severe sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This typically diminishes within the same day or within 24 hours.
    • If you experience any pain or discomfort you may take Tylenol or other Acetaminophen-containing products as directed. Cold compresses can be applied to reduce swelling if necessary.
    • Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil. These agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical and responsible for your skin rejuvenation.
    • Light scabs may form in the treated area and remain for 24 to 48 hours.
    • Do not pick or scratch treated skin but instead keep it moisturized.
    • Use a gentle moisturizer as needed.
    • Avoid excessive sun exposure, including tanning booths, and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily of SPF 30 or higher.
    • Avoid warm environments (i.e., hot tubs, jacuzzis, steam rooms, hot yoga, saunas, etc.) for 3 days post treatment.
    • By day two or three, your skin may feel a bit dry. This is normal and will resolve on its own. • You may return to your skin care products and makeup when your skin is not irritated, typically 4 -5 days after treatment.
    • You will begin to see improvements in the overall texture and tone shortly after your treatment, but the overall effects take up to 3 months, for optimal improvement.
    • New collagen formation takes 4-6 weeks to develop; please be patient.
    • It is recommended to have a minimum of 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart for maximum benefit.

Please do not hesitate to call the office with any questions or concerns at 567-560-5558.
