Before & Afters
Have Questions?
We've compiled answers to the most common questions to help you make informed decisions about your beauty journey.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Plasma IQ Eye Treatment results are seen instantly although the best appearance is 3 to 6 weeks post treatment. We recommend a series of 3 Plasma IQ Pen procedures at 6 week intervals to give optimal results.
Does Plasma IQ Hurt?
We will apply a numbing cream for 30 minutes prior to treatment to minimize any discomfort. Treatment may feel hot in places and there may be a tingling or burning sensation afterwards. We also offer Pro-Nox. See Pro-Nox page for all the details.
Who Is An Ideal Candidate?
The ideal candidate for this procedure is someone looking to get rid of early aging signs like wrinkles and crow’s feet, allowing you to regain your younger-looking skin.
Contraindications for Plasma IQ Eye Treatment are:
- Anticoagulants (blood thinners)
- Accutane treatment within 1 year
- Active acne
- Botox to area within 7 days
- Filler to area within 14 days
- Skin cancer or suspicious moles
- Herpes Simplex (cold sores)
- Shingles
- Conjunctivitis (eye infection)
- Pregnancy or breast feeding
- Hemophilia, hepatitis, HIV/Aids

- Vitiligo
How Much Does It Cost?
Plasma IQ requires a consultation appointment to determine treatment plan and pricing.
Consultations at Beyond Esthetics are complimentary.
What Is The Downtime?
After your Plasma IQ treatment you can expect around 5 days of redness, swelling, dark spots (think strawberry dots) and possible bruising. Directly after, your skin may feel sunburned and tight, but that feeling is temporary. See Post Treatment under the Resources tab for aftercare instructions.
How Soon Will I See Results?
Plasma IQ will produce immediate regenerative results. The skin will continue to tighten for up to 12 weeks. For surgery-like results, we recommend at least three sessions spaced three weeks apart.

BE Beauty
Amazing results! I want to share my journey with the Morpheus and Plasma IQ pen. I started in January and in March completed my third treatment of each. I've had great results. I knew the benefits would be cumulative, and not immediate... It's been almost a month since my third treatment and I am more than pleased with the results I am seeing!!! I can only say thank you to Beyond Esthetics and the CNP's guiding me in this amazing process. I am more than pleased with my results!
Pre-Care Instructions
How To Prepare
- Avoid sun exposure (apply sunscreen daily and do not tan at all – including self-tanner) for 2 to 4 weeks before and after treatments.
- Do not use any retinol products (or products containing tretinoin) or exfoliants on the area to be treated for one week.
- Avoid Accutane (or isotretinoin products) for 6 months prior. Let your doctor know if you have a history of hyperpigmentation.
- If you are having the area around your eyes treated, avoid wearing contacts on the day of your treatment.
Post-Care Instructions
Aftercare
- Continue your normal daily activities acknowledging you will have carbon crusting “scabs” occurring on the treatment areas causing a “social downtime.”
- These scabs will fall off at 3-5 days, and this is when you are permitted to resume wearing makeup.
- Keep area covered with Vaseline, Aquaphor, Instant Balm, or Nectar.
- Avoid exercise (especially sweating onto the area) for at least 3-4 days. Heat, sweat and/or steam can add to the inflammation that is already present.
- Redness and swelling can occur and may last several weeks for some patients.
- Full results may take 3 to 6 months to be seen.
